Billy didn't know Ch 2

"Elijah, I am way too old for you."

"Please Billy, age is just a number."

"Yes, and there are over ten of them between us."

Elijah had invited Billy over for a game or two on his Playstation. After the last defeat, "You've been practicing Billy," they ended the game.

Elijah got up to pack away the controls and when he turned around, Billy was reclining on the couch, his arms above his head as he stretched. this was too much of a temptation for Elijah and he took the opportunity to drape himself over Billy and they were now sprawled out on the couch with Billy looking up at him.

Billy didn't know what was up, so he lay there and waited for what Elijah had to say.

"Billy, I may look young, ok sometimes I act it too, but I know my own mind."

"Elijah, what's really going on here?"

Elijah nuzzled Billy's neck and kissed his cheek.

"Tell me you aren't the slightest bit attracted to me Billy."

Billy's eyes closed as Elijah slipped his hand beneath his shirt and began playing with the hair circling his chest.

"I'm no' saying tha' Elijah, I am saying that I am older than you and have experienced more in my thirty five years than you ever have. You need someone your own age."

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because you are what I want."

"Why?"

"I love you."

Billy froze, his eyes widening as he looked into Elijah's.

After a few minutes of silence where he just looked into Elijah's eyes, he drew a deep breath.

"You're serious."

"Yes I am." Elijah sat up.

"Billy, out of all the others, you have treated me like I am someone. You don't talk down to me, you see ME.I fell in love with you so easily. I didn't realize it was love until last year when we were called for pickups and i saw you again. I had felt that there was something missing in my life and when i saw you again, I realized it was you."

"Why didn't you say something then?" Billy drew his legs up and wrapped his arms around them.

"Things were so hectic and we were on different sides of the island." Elijah copied Billy's stance. "You left before me and I never got to say anything until now."

Billy rested his forehead on his bended knees and was silent for so long Elijah thought he had fallen asleep.

"Elijah."

Elijah jumped as Billy suddenly spoke.

"I am going to need some time to process all this. I'm not saying you are lying, but Elijah, I need reassurance that this is not a phase you're going through."

"It's not." Elijah said confidently.

"Six months, and we get to know each other better, we take it slow and let nature do the rest."

Elijah nodded.

Billy lifted his head from his knees and pinned Elijah in place with the blaze in his eyes.

"Don't fuck with me Elijah," his voice came out deadly soft and Elijah shivered. "If during this time you find out what you say you feel for me is just a crush, you will tell me immediately." he paused and the flame in his eyes intensified. "But if you still feel love for me as you say, I will become involved with you. And just so you know Elijah, when I make a commitment, I do not do so lightly."

"Billy," Elijah rested his hand on Billy's knee. "I play for keeps. I love you and that's not going to change in six months or six years from now."
